Building a Barndominium 7/21/2019: Trenching a Water line 1200 feet up a mountain in 10 hours in the HOT July sun!!
This is a short video showing still photos of the workers trenching the water line .Tulsa Sod and Mulch used a Ditch Witch Trencher with the rock chain. It was 1200 foot of line but remember, we live on a mountain so it was SOLID ROCK!! They cruised right through it like slicing butter!! We split the lie in front of the house so we can have a frost free faucet at the barn. They worked for 10 hours start to t to finish. They did such an awesome job every step of the way!! We highly recommend them!!

We built a Barndominium, "Barndo" , "Shop house", "metal Building" house at the end of 2019. We compiled photos and some videos of the house building process to share in small short videos. We started by clearing the deep wooded rocky land with a Kubota with a Forestry Mulcher Tool Attachment to get the small trees and underbrush on our land. Next came the John Deere Bulldozer to really move the earth around to prevent tree roots from regrowing, build up the road, grade the surrounding earth and build the pad for the house and barn.
The Vibratory soil compactor was next to compact the earth for the gravel on the drive and the cement for the pads. Next was the cement pads which I really dont have much video of, just of the cement forms. The House (60x60) build started with erecting the Red Iron beams in what seemed to be record time. They erected the main structure in one day and the following days was the cross members, roof and porch structure.
