How to make a DIY chicken brooder table for FREE ! Then some DRAMA in the barnyard!

SO Im ready for a winter project!! Today was such a beautiful day I was ready to get started! I have stopped breeding all my special chicken breeds last year and just stuck with about 9 hens and 1 roo for the past year. I did a lot of hatching this year but have not had much success up here on the mountain. Either they passed while growing out, or the majority was after they grew out and I let them into the big pen. They would do everything to escape. Once they did there was no hope in making them stay in. One by one they dwindled. I ended up with 4 grow outs out of 22. The most recent is sitting at 8 chicks, that I got to stay in the big coop. They are cute and getting big, but still only at 20+ chickens, I am way below my PB limit :)
So, today we built a brooder stand with a hardware cloth floor, to set our chicken brooder, which is an actual chicken coop, on top and allow them the grow out on the wiring. #ChickenBrooder #ChickensOnWire #GrowOuts
