The steel pipe corners and H posts have become rusted and we continued to talk about "this fall" when it cools off we need to paint them. Well here we are, and it wasn't that easy to find the paint. In the past year Lowes has had a pre made metal fence paint in barn red, black and silver. It was suppose to have a built in primer for anti rust. We visited 2 stores and called several more and for some reason the don't carry that metal paint any longer. So we called Atwoods, they said the only had tractor paint. We went to TSC and they had the next alternative paint we were looking for. The paint is made by Lexington and its called FENCE COAT Acrylic Lacquer. It is an oil based paint, color we chose was black. It is for wood fences, barns, sheds, concrete and metal painting. It states it is safe around livestock. We bought the 5 gallon bucket and it was only around $35. We used the paint mits for the entire project. That is what made it so easy and fast! Please wear latex or rubber gloves under the mit, it does bleed through onto your skin. Yes it Burns, Yes, it is a mess and YES IT WAS WORTH IT. When you are painting around field fence and barbwire, this is the only way to go! We painted by the barn, into the buck pen then around the 17 acre paddock. We even had time to scrape and paint the front entrance gate! It all looks so good and seriously it was simple and easy, didn't take as much time as I expected! #PaintingPipeFence #HowToPaintPipeFence #RustyPipeFence
